Heritage

The ROLEX Cosmograph Daytona “Ghost,” reference 126515LN, brings the model’s motorsport chronograph design together with 18 ct Everose gold and a black Oysterflex bracelet. This example is the meteorite/black-dial configuration 126515LN-0008.

Design

The 40 mm Oyster case is crafted in Rolex’s proprietary 18 ct Everose gold, developed to preserve its pink-gold coloration over time. A black monobloc Cerachrom ceramic bezel carries a tachymetric scale calibrated to 400 units per hour, paired with scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.

The black Oysterflex bracelet uses flexible metal blades overmoulded with high-performance elastomer, with cushioning on the inside. It is secured by an Oysterlock clasp with Glidelock extension.

Collector’s Note

The meteorite dial has a naturally formed metallic pattern created as material cooled slowly within an asteroid. That pattern varies from dial to dial, making the pattern shown in these photographs a distinctive detail of this individual watch.

Movement

Inside is Rolex Calibre 4131, a self-winding mechanical chronograph with an approximately 72-hour power reserve. The layout includes central hour and minute hands, small seconds at 6 o’clock, central chronograph seconds, a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, and a 12-hour counter at 9 o’clock. The movement features a Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers.
